Grimes
Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo:SHAY born March 17, 1988. She's known as Grimes. The first work she did was described as moving into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. [4] She's also taken influence from electronic music, hip hop, and rock. The lyrics of her songs often address the themes of science fiction and feminists. There have been five albums. Grimes was raised in Vancouver but moved to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her music as a solo act in the early 2000s. The albums released were by Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in the year 2010. After that, she became a member of 4AD and rose to prominence when she released their third studio album Visions that was released in 2012. Visions has two singles "Genesis", and "Oblivion" as well as being awarded by the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. The fourth album of her studio Art Angels was released in the year 2015. It received high praise from the press and critics, while many magazines voted it to be the top album. In 2020, she released Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Aside from music, Grimes had a voice character in the 2020 adventure role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the popular music competition game series Alter Ego.
